We are Cultural Affairs - an international creative group, comprised of Vhils Studio, Underdogs, Iminente, Ephemeral Ethernal, Clay, with stand-alone businesses in growth in the cultural industry.
We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller to reinforce our Finance team in Marvila, Lisbon. If you want to take a challenge where you are expected to be pro-active to find new ways of working/implementing new processes, being able to tackle several tasks at the same time and be the support of the Senior Controller, then this is the challenge for you!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for all the legal entities of the GroupPlay a supportive role in the budgeting process, ensuring data accuracy and helping streamline efficiencyContribute to the development and enforcement of internal controls, safeguarding company assets and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and established workflowsCollaborate closely with the senior controller, participating in the development of financial analysis for the group and gaining invaluable hands-on experienceSupport the accounting team in tasks such as accounts analysis, reconciliations, inventory control and others deemed necessarySupport with other routine financial controls (Uber, Bolt, Revolut, etc.) QUALIFICATIONS A keen interest in finance, showcased by a relentless passion for learning and an innate curiosity about the financial realmBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Management, Accounting or related fieldProfessional working proficiency in English (writing and speaking) SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly ExcelAnalytical skills with an attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial tasksA strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work collaboratively, ensuring timely deliverablesStrong written and verbal communication skillsA proactive approach, coupled with eagerness to learn and a solutions-driven mindset BENEFITS Competitive salary and benefits packageA creative and innovative work environmentOpportunities for professional growth This is an in-person role based in Marvila (Lisbon), with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 9AM – 6PM.
