What will you contribute?

We are seeking an Expert QA Engineer to lead the quality assurance and testing efforts for a core banking implementation project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale IT projects, particularly within the banking and financial services sector. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage QA Team: Oversee QA and testing to ensure a quality solution.
  • Develop Test Strategies: Create comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project goals and timelines.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Coordinate and manage all testing activities, including functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Defect Management: Establish and maintain defect management processes, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution of defects.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality assurance standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure clear communication and understanding of testing requirements and outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to quality and testing, ensuring proactive measures are in place to address potential issues.
  • Reporting: Provide regular status reports on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect trends to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA and testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, PMP) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in QA and testing. Experience in core banking or financial services projects is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM), automated testing frameworks, and scripting languages. Knowledge of core banking systems and applications is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of leading successful QA testing phases.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
