Product Owner - Financial Markets

Asseco PST is developing a new strategic Treasury solution, covering Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets (MM), Fixed Income (FI), and other key financial and liquidity management processes essential to our clients.

We are looking for a Senior Business/Product Specialist to take on the role of Product Owner , leading the functional design and evolution of this product.

This role combines deep domain knowledge with the ability to translate vision into tangible, value-driven deliveries — aligned with our strategy, long-term goals and market needs.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Analysis

Perform in-depth functional analysis based on banking and treasury business processes.

Collaborate closely with technical teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable, and implementable solutions.

Client Business Understanding

Gain a deep understanding of clients' treasury operations, challenges, and objectives, and propose product enhancements that deliver added value.

Collect and translate both operational and strategic insights into meaningful product features.

Industry Trends & Innovation

Research emerging technological and functional trends in the Treasury and Financial Markets domain.

Provide strategic and critical input into the product roadmap to ensure ongoing relevance and competitiveness.

Business Processes & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Develop a thorough understanding of key Treasury and Markets processes, including interfaces with risk, compliance, commercial, marketing, and legal teams.

Act as a technical and functional point of reference for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Backlog & Roadmap Management

Own and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features based on value, risk, delivery capacity, and strategic fit.

Manage interdependencies and communicate changes clearly and persuasively to all relevant parties.

Stakeholder Engagement

Align all stakeholders — including development, consulting, management, and sales — with the product vision.

Lead clarification and alignment sessions to ensure consistent communication and shared understanding across teams.

Profile

University degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field;

Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Treasury, Financial Markets, or product development;

Proven track record as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, Product Manager, or in Front Office roles with significant functional and technical responsibilities.

In-depth knowledge of Treasury products and processes, including FX, Money Markets, Fixed Income, Liquidity, Nostro accounts, Position Management, and related areas.

Strong expertise in functional analysis, requirements modeling, and collaboration with development teams.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product management tools (JIRA, Confluence), and development lifecycle practices;

Developing proficiency in Portuguese and willingness to improve further

Intermediate or higher level of English;
