Technical Lead Software Engineer (f/m/div)

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Lead Software Engineer to join our new team in Porto. As a leader in the semiconductor industry, we are committed to driving innovation and excellence in our software solutions. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining the software applications that power our factory operations, and we are looking for a technical leader who can guide our team to take our software to the next level. As a Technical Lead Software Engineer, you will guide and mentor the development team to achieve technical excellence while driving innovation and adopting modern technologies. You'll design efficient systems, ensure coding best practices, and oversee quality to deliver reliable, scalable software. Working in global, agile projects, you’ll play a key role in aligning technical solutions with business needs and fostering seamless collaboration.

In your new role, you will:

• Act as the technical lead and mentor for the software development team, ensuring the achievement of both functional and individual objectives, including development, troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software
• Generate new ideas and actively contribute to the Innovation team to advance existing software to the next level
• Drive innovation and refactor existing solutions by adopting new technologies and frameworks
• Design systems within architectural boundaries and make decisions regarding development methodologies
• Guide the team during code development, ensuring adherence to established standards and promoting collaborative practices such as pair programming and code reviews
• Oversee the unit testing phases to ensure code quality and reliability
• Optimize the performance, stability, and scalability of software systems
• Take responsibility for technical deliverables, including estimating development efforts and timelines, while ensuring the software architecture aligns with business and customer needs
• Proactively manage changes, take ownership of responsibilities, and ensure commitments are met
• Contribute to global, agile projects as an integral member of the DevOps team
  
  

You are a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels. Thriving in fast-paced environments, you demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. With a strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach, you focus on delivering innovative, high-quality solutions while taking ownership and inspiring others to achieve exceptional results.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field
• At least 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer with experience as a Technical Lead as well
• Experience with most of the following skills: C++, C# or .NET Core, RESTful webservices, Windows, and Linux
• Advanced knowledge in SQL Server and database management – expertise in Oracle would be an advantage
• Experience with containerization is a plus as it aligns with the application roadmap (e.g, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience in the SAFe agile framework is a plus, but not essential
• Experience in DevOps/Automated Testing (e.g., Azure DevOps server) is also desirable, but not mandatory
• Fluency in English is mandatory
