About the role:

The QA Automation engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the design, development, and execution of automated tests. This role should enable faster and more reliable releases, reduce manual testing efforts and identify the software defects early. The individual will be expected to support existing testing frameworks, extend test coverage by developing automation tests, report found issues according to the company process and document the technical approach. The role requires to work closely with QA team members, developers and UI/UX designer. The QA Automation engineer should have good understanding of QA Methodology and best practices in the test automation.

Responsibilities:

• Understand business and technical requirements of existing and new products
• Maintain and manage automation projects of the company
• Build and scale test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing by identifying quality risks area and test data
• Monitor and supervise the automation project on CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain and troubleshoot flaky or failing tests to ensure reliability and efficiency of automated test suites
• Conduct code reviews of test automation scripts and promote best practices in test automation
• Collaborate with QA team members, developers and product managers to understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases
• Participate in standups and project meetings to understand the projects lifecycle
• Document the technical approach of the test framework
  
  

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Experience testing web applications, preferably b2b and b2c area
• Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance theory: principles, methodologies and techniques
• Experience with bug tracking and version control software (Git, TeamCity, Jira)
• Experience in test design: test suites and cases (Xray or TestRail)
• Experience working with DB and good SQL skills
• Able to work in a team and autonomously
• Good skills in spoken and written English
• Quick learner, proactive and have “Can do” attitude
• Great communication skills
• Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed
• Possesses strong data entry skills.
