About The Job

• By integrating the Data Management team, the Senior Data Engineer works in a best-in-class data management team, in an international and dynamic environment
• The team works on a Big Data environment, with access to an ecosystem of Hadoop tools including Spark and Hive. Dataiku DSS (Data Science Studio) and Tableau are used as end user interface, providing a visual approach to the implementation of ETL (Extract Transform Load) pipelines and Dashboards respectively
• IT solutions are granted by ITG, the IT entity servicing BNPP Group Functions. ITG supports the infrastructure on a daily-basis and helps with backend big data engineering and framework maintenance
• The primary responsibility will be to handle big data, perform in-depth data analysis, present data in valuable ways to see beyond the figures and prepare the data used for the SGCP department functional analysts to perform the credit portfolio analysis, notably Risk Appetite Statement monitoring of key sectors for the Group, Risk Weighted Asset assessment and explanation, amongst others
  
  

Your Main Activities Are

• Be responsible for building reliable and high-performance data pipelines
• Work on data ingestion, data preparation, data cleaning and data analysis
• Design data models and visualizations to be launched in a production environment
• Perform data consolidation in a strong control framework compliant with BCBS239 principles
• Build and optimize the data processing, overseeing sourcing and connecting data
• Work closely with our data providers and with our clients notably to ensure good data quality
• Analyze the impacts of ongoing or upcoming projects on the data platform
• Regularly update the management of the department of progress achieved
  
  

Profile and Skills to Success

• Master’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Data Science or related
• At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology / Data Analytics or similar
• Advanced level of English, both written and oral
• Knowledge in Python
• Attention to detail / rigor
• Ability to manage a project
• Ability to synthetise / simplify
• Analytical ability
