Join Our Team as a Software Engineer, QA at Protegrity!
Are you passionate about data security and privacy? Protegrity is looking for a talented Software Engineer, QA to join our dynamic team. You'll work alongside other software engineers and machine learning practitioners to design, build, and maintain applications that ensure data security and privacy.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software and machine learning engineers to understand project requirements and design test plans that align with project goals.
- Implement and maintain automated test suites for APIs, data pipelines, and other systems.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality during continuous development cycles.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce bugs and verify fixes.
- Identify and document issues in JIRA.
- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure robust deployments, ensuring proper logging/monitoring of systems in production.
- 6-10 years in software QA, with exposure to testing applications written in Python.
- Strong knowledge of testing frameworks, such as pytest and Robot Framework.
- Experience with API testing.
- Understanding of data validation techniques for data pipelines.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Gitlab CI/CD.
- Infrastructure as code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation).
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker and k8s).
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Strong understanding and adherence to software development best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and the characteristics of systems that integrate machine learning components.
- This role is available as a hybrid role. You will work out of your home and generally would require you to attend on-site meetings based on business needs. In certain circumstances, the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
