Position Summary

Indexor is Abbottʼs solution for automating sample traceability and digitizing preanalytical workflows. It plays a strategic role in optimizing lab operations, improving turnaround times, and enabling data-driven decision-making. As part of the Indexor Experience Team (IXP), the IXP Specialist ensures the successful adoption, deployment, and optimization of Indexor within clinical laboratories worldwide. This is a field-intensive, globally mobile role, blending technical insight, workflow design, and user experience advocacy. The IXP Specialist collaborates early with sales teams to help assess workflows and define the best-fitting Indexor solution for each customer. They accompany implementations, train users, support optimization efforts, and contribute to product evolution based on real-world insights. In addition to fieldwork, IXP Specialists also play a key role in providing user support, handling incoming help desk tickets, and building a shared knowledge base to improve service quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales Support: Participate in early customer engagement to assess existing lab workflows and identify how Indexor can streamline sample traceability and preanalytics.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with sales and technical teams to design tailored Indexor configurations that meet each labʼs operational goals.
  • Implementation & Training: Lead or support deployments at client sites, providing hands-on user training and ensuring proper system usage from day one.
  • Workflow Optimization: Observe live use of Indexor and help refine workflows for efficiency, traceability, and compliance.
  • Support & Knowledge Base:
    • Take part in the help desk rotation, handling incoming support requests and troubleshooting issues with clients and partners.
    • Document recurring issues, solutions, and good practices to maintain and expand the Indexor knowledge base.
  • User Advocacy: Capture feedback and user behavior in the field; translate these into structured insights that support roadmap and UX decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between Sales, Product, Operations, and Support, ensuring that all perspectives are reflected in how Indexor is developed and deployed.
  • Pilot & Validation: Accompany pilot projects and new releases in the field, documenting impact and areas for improvement.
Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in healthcare, clinical laboratories, IVD, or related fields (preferred)
  • Field-facing experience: implementation, training, technical onboarding, or customer success
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer requests professionally
  • Excellent documentation habits and structured communication
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing actively to a team environment
  • Collaborative mindset: eager to share, learn from others, and co-create practical solutions
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English
  • Willingness and availability to travel internationally more than 50% of the time (including Europe, US, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific regions)

Education

  • Bachelorʼs degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, UX Research, or equivalent
  • Masterʼs degree is a plus
