Key Responsibilities
- Build and run internal finance procedures (i.e., “let’s ensure we don’t spend like kudos pirates”). Ensure we’re compliant with internal controls and financial best practices.
- Be the master of month-end: closing books, preparing instructions for our shared services crew, and making sure we hit deadlines.
- Own the forecasting and budgeting process across business ops, R&D, and programs.
- Dig into the numbers and pull-out insights — variance analysis, margins, standard costs, you name it.
- Keep tabs on profitability and cash flow — and make sure we’re not leaving money on the table.
- Manage all things AP/AR: make sure vendors get paid on time, and customers pay us on time (nicely, but firmly ).
- Collaborate with our shared services team and regional finance folks to align on intercompany flows, pricing, and margin magic.
- Support program controllers to track progress, costs, and capitalization with confidence.
- Improve our finance tools, dashboards, and ERP workflows — and help build systems that scale.
- Keep our balance sheet in check, our audits tight, and our financials clean.
- Respect and ensure, in a daily approach, the correct and full implementation of the Forvia Code of Ethics (Respect for fundamental Human Rights, Development of economic and social dialogue, Development of skills, Ethics, and rules of business conduct, if necessary, reporting infringements to the Code of Ethics).
- Respect and ensure, in a daily approach, the correct and full implementation of the Forvia Code of Management (Business Planning, Business Execution, Performance Management & People Development, Business Ethics).
- Perform other tasks that are similar or functionally connected and for which he/she has the required qualifications and competencies to help achieve the goals of the team/organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management or Economics, or related field.
- Previous experience managing a (small) finance team.
- 5–8 years in finance/controlling and know how to make sense of complexity.
- You’re comfortable owning AP/AR and aren’t afraid to follow up when needed.
- You love Excel but don’t mind getting your hands dirty in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- You’re detail-obsessed, process-minded, and laser-focused on continuous improvement.
- You can work independently, wear multiple hats, and keep your cool when things get hectic.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked in a startup and know what finance should look like.
- At Forvia, you will find an engaging and dynamic environment where you can contribute to the development of sustainable mobility leading technologies.
- We are the seventh-largest global automotive supplier, employing more than 157,000 people in more than 40 countries which makes a lot of opportunity for career development.
- We welcome energetic and agile people who can thrive in a fast-changing environment. People who share our strong values. Team players with a collaborative mindset and a passion to deliver high standards for our clients. Lifelong learners. High performers. Globally minded people who aspire to work in a transforming industry, where excellence, speed, and quality count.
- We cultivate a learning environment, dedicating tools and resources to ensure we remain at the forefront of mobility. Our people enjoy an average of more than 22 hours of online and in-person training within FORVIA University (five campuses around the world)
- We offer a multicultural environment that values diversity and international collaboration. We believe that diversity is a strength. To create an inclusive culture where all forms of diversity create real value for the company, we have adopted gender diversity targets and inclusion action plans.
- Achieving CO2 Net Zero as a pioneer of the automotive industry is a priority: In June 2022, Forvia became the first global automotive group to be certified with the new SBTI Net-Zero Standard (the most ambitious standard of SBTi), aligned with the ambition of the 2015 Paris Agreement of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. Three principles guide our action: use less, use better and use longer, with a focus on recyclability and circular economy.
