The Data Engineer 4 is responsible for managing data pipelines, packaging code for deployment, and developing analytical solutions.
This position requires both technical expertise and autonomy to design, build, and implement data-driven insights within a collaborative environment.
The Data Engineer 4 will develop end-to-end solutions from data extraction through to operational deployment and work with large datasets from diverse sources to enable valuable insights and analytics.
Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to clean and transform data for analysis.Develop end-to-end solutions from data extraction to operational deployment.Work with large datasets from various sources to enable insights and analytics.Evaluate the team's models and suggest enhancements, promoting best practices for modeling and creating scalable operational needs.Ensure data storage and processing meet security standards and comply with relevant regulations.Create and maintain thorough documentation for data pipelines, architectures, and processes.Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends, providing consulting services leveraging expertise and best practices.Contribute as an innovative thought leader, sharing knowledge and coaching on current best practices and market trends.Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to team members; provide feedback to leadership on team capabilities.Comply with all privacy and data security policies, including Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Proven experience with data engineering, including working with data warehouses and ETL processes.Experience in Data and ML Pipelines orchestration (e.g., Metaflow, MLFlow, AWS Glue).Proficiency in SQL, Python, and at least one data processing framework (e.g., Spark, Flink, TensorFlow, PyTorch).Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience applying them to real-world use cases.Ability to package and deploy code to production environments in the Cloud.Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and application of Gen AI for business purposes.Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).Excellent collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Hands-on experience with AWS Data platform.Self-motivated, able to manage projects independently, and thrive in fast-paced environments.Strong attention to detail and the ability to influence and motivate team members.Excellent presentation, discretion, rapport-building, and consensus-gaining skills.Ability to work independently and in a team, coaching and mentoring others.Knowledge of CI/CD tools.Up to 5% travel required.Next steps include application review by Hyland Recruiters, who will contact candidates within 1-2 weeks.
