We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team, with a focus on the development, integration, and deployment of Access Control and SCADA systems. This position involves working on technically complex projects in the fields of electronics, automation, and security systems, with opportunities to engage throughout the full engineering lifecycle—from requirement analysis to commissioning and customer training.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Ability to analyze technical specifications provided by the end customer.
  • Engineering degree, preferably in Electronics Engineering or Control and Automation Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Access Control system design (considered an asset).
  • Knowledge of SCADA system design (considered an asset).
  • Experience with CAD tools and design (considered an asset).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement customer-focused solutions.
  • Proficient in Portuguese and English; French is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • University degree.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Seniority: Junior (1 to 5 years)

Daily Responsibilities

  • Define and formalize technical specifications and engineering plans to guide solution/product development.
  • Integrate system components in a structured and controlled manner to assess design behavior, interactions, and performance, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Verify that the solution/product fulfills all approved operational needs and that the product documentation is ready for production, testing, installation, operation, and support.
  • Plan and coordinate subsystem development within the framework of the agreed architecture and design, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal standards, processes, and objectives.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact within your domain across the entire project. Ensure subsystem interfaces are properly defined, consistent, and complete.
  • Optimize technical solutions in terms of cost, schedule, and risk, from design through to validation and acceptance.
  • Manage technical requirements related to your domain.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including but not limited to:
  • System Requirements
  • Design Documents
  • Configuration Documents
  • Installation Manuals
  • Test Procedures
  • Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Documentation
  • Training Materials
  • Provide technical expertise during design reviews with internal teams and customers.
  • Contribute to the definition of operations and maintenance activities with appropriate technical input.
  • Support on-site installation activities.
  • Execute testing and commissioning (T&C) tasks, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), on-site configuration tests, and system commissioning.
  • Assist in configuration control and management, in collaboration with the configuration manager.
  • Prepare training documentation and conduct training sessions within your area of expertise.
  • Document and share lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Nice To Have

  • Fluency in French.
  • Previous experience in similar telecommunications or industrial automation projects.
