Head of Digital and Tech

We’re a fast-growing chain of fitness clubs, driving health and wellbeing across communities by transforming how people experience fitness. SC Fitness is the leading fitness operator in Portugal, managing around 70 health clubs under the brands Solinca and Element, and has initiated international growth with the launch of Element gyms in the Czech Republic.

To power our current operations and expansion plans, we’re looking for a Head of Digital and Technology to lead our IT function into the future.

This role combines strategic IT leadership with a passion for digital innovation. You’ll oversee our technology ecosystem — from infrastructure and cybersecurity to customer-facing platforms — and play a key role in enhancing member experience through smart, scalable tech solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the company’s digital and IT strategy
• Lead digital initiatives that improve member experience and operational efficiency
• Oversee IT systems, cloud infrastructure, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR)
• Manage the IT & digital team and external vendors
• Drive data and analytics capabilities to support decision-making
• Deliver high-impact projects using Agile/DevOps methodologies

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in senior IT or digital roles, ideally in consumer or fitness sectors
• Deep expertise in infrastructure, cloud (AWS/Azure), and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM)
• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives
• Strong people leader and cross-functional collaborator
• A mindset for innovation, efficiency, and member-centricity
