Job Description

The Hybrid Data Analyst & Commercial Excellence Manager is responsible for driving digital transformation, leveraging advanced analytical techniques and data-driven insights to improve commercial strategies and optimize business performance. This role combines the analytical rigor of data analysis and data science with a strong focus on commercial excellence, enabling informed decision-making and driving sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive digital transformation
  • Lead and improve analytical programs and present the results to leaders
  • Analyse the variable, granular data of your business and regularly use advanced models to deliver business insights across diverse business domains
  • With a combination of analytical expertise, data and system knowledge, and business insight, you will answer and anticipate critical business questions and opportunities and deliver insight to the business in ways that make significant impacts
  • Demonstrate use of data visualization (Tableau, PBI, Excel), and analytical tools ( Python, R, SQL, KNIME/Alteryx) to grasp the business insights from our mountains of data
  • Work on the automation and optimization of the internal process
  • Develop within existing designs of various solutions to help the business get valuable insights
  • Work on agile products using cloud solutions
  • Lead technical innovation. Constructively disrupt current data science practices and design new and better models that transform current and future business processes
  • Directly contribute to the design and development of scaled data science algorithms

Commercial Excellence

  • Support the development and execution of commercial strategies by providing actionable insights derived from data analysis
  • Drive the adoption of CRM tools and ensure data integrity within commercial systems.
  • Identify gaps in processes and propose solutions to improve efficiency and revenue generation
  • Lead best-in-class SIP (System of Incentive Plans)

Strategic Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align objectives and ensure data-informed decision-making
  • Act as a bridge between data analytics and commercial teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Support leadership with ad-hoc analyses, presentations, and strategic insights

Performance Tracking

  • Delivery of analyses and models transforming business outcomes with penetrating insights
  • Business decision impact - driving new insights, resources/time/cost optimization
  • Business Value
  • Timely delivery (on time vs expectations)
  • Every algorithm & analysis addresses a clear and valuable problem
  • All models & algorithms are accurate & reliable
  • Data is clean and well organized with data quality and standards detailed

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in quantitative field (operations research, computer science, Engineering, applied math, statistics, Physics, analytics, etc. or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience in implementing projects & solutions in cloud (Azure/GCP preferred, AWS)
  • Experience using analytics techniques (AI/Machine Learning, Econometrics, Operations Research, Statistics, Root Cause Diagnostics) to tackle defined business problems.
  • Knowledge of agile Scrum and DevOps methodologies
  • Ability to demonstrate, translate, and communicate sophisticated data into simple conclusions and business actions
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to deliver a clear story to influence agreement to your recommendations with data and insights
  • Data management and visualization skills/tools in one or more of the following: Databricks, SQL/SparkSQL, KNIME, Tableau, PBI, JMP/SPSS or similar
  • Proficient in Python/R or demonstrated technical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Self-motivated to work with diverse business scenarios, prioritizing multiple priorities, and have a business and consultancy mindset while technically (data) savvy, and passionate about discovering new/innovative ways of doing things.
