Senior C++ Software Engineer – Train Planning Systems

We are seeking Senior C++ Developer to join our growing software engineering team.

Your Role:

• Take a leadership role in conceptualizing, developing, and implementing high-quality software modules for our leading client-server capacity planning and timetabling system, revolutionizing the public transportation industry.
• Lead efforts to improve existing software modules, implement new tests, and collaborate on bug-fixing to ensure performance and reliability.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements, while mentoring junior developers and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Lead code reviews to maintain high code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure the stability and performance of the software.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the software development process.
  
  

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Significant experience in C++ development (preferably C++11 or later).
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and architectures.
• Expertise in software testing and debugging methodologies and frameworks.
• Extensive experience with multi-threading and concurrency to develop high-performance software.
• Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes effectively.
• Experience with database design and optimization (SQL, NoSQL) is preferable.
• Experience with Docker, Continuous Integration/Delivery tools is preferable.
• Strong familiarity with Agile development methodologies to promote iterative development and collaboration.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical.
• Passionate about learning, continuous improving and building new solutions with high positive impact on the environment and society.
• Enjoy helping others and spreading knowledge.
• Willingness to build up a new development site in an interdisciplinary team and international environment.
• The willingness to work with different programming languages is preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
