IT Solution Architect

Job Description

• Define and design the high-level architecture on existing to Java/J2EE applications both cloud and legacy
• Scope, analyze and size of business requirements.
• Design solutions in alignment with Nokia's best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
• Be responsible for the technical aspects of project implementation in close collaboration with the Nokia IT project managers, data engineering specialists, product owners, security teams and 3rd parties (infrastructure and support providers).
• Be responsible for completing the architecture and system documentation in accordance with Project milestones (PMM methodology).
• Support the Project Managers to understand Risks and Impacts.
• Translate business requirements into IT requirements in cooperation with IT Product owner.
• Define the IT the requirements and sign off design of the solutions.
• Contribute to the growth of the cloud practice at Nokia by serving as an active contributor to promote knowledge and resource base, educate and enrich Cloud practices within delivery team.
• Counseling and contributing to the development activities performed by the delivery team.
• Provide recommendations within IT and to the business stakeholders on architecture strategy.
• Contribute to investment proposals with technical estimates and business cases with cost/benefit analysis.
• Participate in prototyping and pilots and evaluate the possibilities offered by different technologies and platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders and process owners to proactively understand and capture business needs.
• Proactively follows the digital market technologies and trends and innovations
• Provide solutions in line with solutions from Security, Legal & Compliance
• Drive technology selection process together with business and IT
• Create and maintain enterprise architecture diagrams
• Drive technology roadmapping
  
  

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Collaborates with key stakeholders to analyze ideas and demands for architectural fit and translates detailed business requirements provided by the solution owner into implementable solution including specific technical requirements
• Partners with business and IT on solution architecture design.
• Determines the technologies and proposes overall solution architecture based on enterprise architecture and technology understanding
• Contributes to cost and benefit analysis.
• Keeps the alignment between enterprise architecture blueprint and recommendations and solution implementation. Ensures technical integrity, consistency and quality of the solution on every stage of its lifecycle.
• Solves highly complex technical problems and develops original and innovative solutions with impact on the business.
• Defines and documents detailed solution architectural and system designs. Updates solution design documents as needed based on actual implementations.
• Anticipates internal and external business challenges and / or regulatory issues and drives improvements that create competitive advantage.
• Provides guidance on projects solution design compliance with enterprise architecture and makes recommendations for alignment, quality and efficiency based on experience.
• May be assigned to a particular project or program to ensure technical / architectural integrity and consistency of the solution.
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications/Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 - 12 years of experience in business and process analysis on supply chain applications.
• 8 – 12 years of experience in solution architecture with different technological models in above space.
• Experience in database engineering and optimizations involving SQL Server, Oracle
• Experience in software development and design patterns relating to Java/J2EE technologies, Angular, react.js, Node.js Webservices, Integration technologies
• Experience in with AWS / Azure for solution designs its leveraging capabilities
• Experience in designing solutions in microservice architecture.
• Experience working with Agile methodology / DevOps environment.
• Experience in architecture tools (Qualiware)
• Solid methodical skills with attention to detail and process requirements.
• Ability to work on several project streams in parallel and prioritize to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ability to critically think and willingness to challenge the status quo.
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment of a global matrix organization.
• Passion for problem solving.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Innovative thinking skills and ability to analyze details and see the big picture
• Excellent presentation, networking and communication skills with a variety of audiences, executive level/peer to peer/ subordinate/ technical and non-technical etc.
• High energy, initiative, enthusiasm and persistence
• Knowledge of data protection regulations, NSA will be addon
• Information security understanding
