Full Stack Engineer

Seedsight is dedicated to curating a comprehensive digital repository of seeds and grains signatures, meticulously validated through biomolecular and biophysical analyses provided by our platform in almost real-time. Our mission is to equip clients with the knowledge necessary to make well-informed decisions in raw material, commodities procurement and during food processing for optimizing production at the highest rate.

We're on the lookout for a Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team at Seedsight. Our mission is to revolutionize agriculture and food commodities trading and processing, and we need your expertise to make it happen. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in developing our cutting-edge technology, particularly in developing, improving, and maintaining our web applications, tailored to the specific needs of each of Seedsight’s clients.

As a Full Stack Engineer, your role will include the following responsibilities:

• Continuously design, develop, and maintain Seedsight’s web services and interfaces, with a focus on both backend and frontend;
• Write clean, maintainable code with robust automated tests, participate in code reviews, and ensure alignment with product requirements;
• Optimize database schemas and queries with PostgreSQL;
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Biomedical/Physics Engineering Physics, Mathematics or similar fields;
• Previous experience:
•  Front-end development (React and Tailwind preferred);
•  Back-end development (Node JS, Flask and/or Django preferred);
•  PostgreSQL database design and optimization
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms;
• Version control and CI/CD experience would be a plus;
• 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering related roles would be a plus;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Experience in solving complex business problems using data, along with various tools and techniques.
