The company offers its startups tech and business support, which facilitates market launch and growth of new companies. Daftcode works with individual startup founders, early-stage projects and existing startups looking for financing rounds or support in commercialization and business scaling.

We're looking for a General Manager to join our team at Daftcode.

We offer a flexible part-time contract with a possibility of full-time employment in the future. This role allows a flexible remote work model.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Providing strategic leadership and direction for the Portuguese operations, ensuring alignment with overall goals.
  • Managing full P&L responsibility and drove profitability, growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Developing and executing market strategies tailored to the local market, increasing market share, and brand presence.
  • Building and maintained relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensured compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
  • Reported directly to the executive team, providing regular updates on business performance and strategic initiatives.

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • Portuguese Citizenship.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the financial sector in Portugal, at one of the following institutions: bank, payment institution, fintech.
  • Experiences in senior leadership roles in business-critical functions.
  • Previous involvement in licensing or regulatory processes (e.g., collaboration with Banco de Portugal, CMVM) will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local regulations related to financial institutions will be a significant asset.
  • Successfully led teams in dynamic environments, ideally in multinational or growth-stage companies.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding commercial targets (e.g., revenue growth, market expansion).
  • Strong background in negotiation, client relationship management, and strategic planning.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
