The Opportunity

Uphold is seeking a talented Senior Product Designer to join our Product team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part by crafting exceptional user experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and designing interfaces that address user pain points. This isn't just a typical Product Design role; it's about shaping the entire Uphold experience, both within and beyond the app. Your primary question to answer is: How can we design impactful experiences that enhance the overall Uphold journey?

What You’ll Be Doing Primarily

• Define and Strategize Product Experiences: Create and refine product experiences that simplify financial services and foster transparency. Develop strategic design plans that align with business goals and user needs.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, data analysts, and other designers to conceptualize and bring innovative product ideas to life. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across teams.
• Craft Intuitive User Flows: Design user flows, interactions, and experiences that are intuitive, consistent, and optimized across web and mobile platforms. Leverage data-driven insights to inform design decisions.
• Drive Design System Development: Actively contribute to our Uphold Design System chapter to ensure a cohesive and scalable approach to product design. Promote the adoption of the design system across the organization.
• Apply User-Centered Design Principles: Utilize user-centered design principles to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences. Employ service design methodologies to enhance the end-to-end user journey and overall service ecosystem.
• Leverage Data for Design: Incorporate data and analytics into the design process to identify user pain points, uncover insights, and validate design solutions. Use quantitative and qualitative data to drive continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate Technical Expertise: Develop scalable and customizable design solutions that align with technical constraints and capabilities. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure feasibility and implementation.
• Conduct Research and Testing: Perform user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve design solutions. Translate research findings into actionable design enhancements.
• Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices. Apply this knowledge to elevate the quality and innovation of product designs.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of design experience at consumer-focused tech or media companies.
• Strong online portfolio showcasing your design skills.
• Proficiency in designing for multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop) using tools like Figma, Sketch, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of UX best practices, including user research and accessibility.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
