The Interventional Systems division (TIS) delivers innovative, high-quality solutions for cardiac and vascular surgery, as well as interventional procedures. We focus on minimally invasive therapies that reduce the physical burden on patients. Our portfolio includes diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for Interventional Cardiology (IC), Peripheral Intervention (PI), and Interventional Oncology (IO).
Job Summary
As Sales Representative, you will be part of our Portuguese Endovascular Intervention (EVI) Sales and Marketing team. Your primary objective is to manage sales and marketing activities for the EVI product range ie. access and closure devices, stents, guidewires, sheaths and catheters. You will promote high-quality products, maintain relationships with existing customers, and expand the company’s market share by developing new accounts.
Your focus will be on the Northern region of Portugal. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager Joao Pedro Moreira, you will contribute to the continued growth of Terumo.
Job Responsibilities
Market & Product Expertise:
Fluent in English and Portuguese.
Preferably has a network of Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, or Cardiologists.
Familiarity with the local market is a plus.
Team player with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proactive, results-driven, and able to perform under pressure.
Reside in Northern Portugal with the ability to travel extensively.

Market & Product Expertise:
- Stay informed about market trends, competition, and industry developments.
- Understand and address customer requirements effectively.
- Work with marketing to implement product and technical support strategies.
- Manage sales activities for assigned products and territories.
- Set sales targets and pricing strategies in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
- Analyze sales performance and propose corrective actions to achieve objectives.
- Support business growth and ensure profitability for assigned product groups.
- Conduct market analysis to support strategic planning.
- Execute defined strategies to enhance sales and profitability.
- Identify new sales opportunities and innovative methods.
- Strengthen sales channels and product positioning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Business Units, Regulatory Affairs) to achieve sales objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Foster relationships with external authorities and industry organizations.
- Represent Terumo at local and international conferences, congresses, and trade fairs.
- Organize and deliver training sessions for your customers.
- Ensure proper handling of customer complaints.
- Maintain accurate and complete CRM reporting.
- Submit monthly reports to facilitate seamless communication.
- Represent the company professionally with all stakeholders.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Fluent in English and Portuguese.
