Vestas' Global Service business was spun out as a separate business unit in 2014 due to the growing commercial and strategic significance of the service business. With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, exciting growth targets for service in the coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.
The Global Service Planning team supports a sustainable growth and profitability through advanced operations intelligence, Process adherence, and service planning Optimization and Standardization.
Responsibilities
You will coordinate a small team of upgrade professionals in different geographical regions who will work constantly on increasing the Operational maturity and cost performance of all upgrade management topics.
While keeping high Safety and Quality standards, you will engage with our Service sites in the countries and Region you support to implement our Service LEAN roadmap and support the sites to increase their LEAN maturity.

On a personal level, it is very important that you possess influence and persuasiveness and have significant technical and interpersonal skills. You have experience with change management and implementation in a global environment. You must also have experience promoting global improvements and standardization based on best practices. - Continuously maintain an overview of Platform related CIM Case portfolio
- Coordinate with Regions, CIM Case Implementation Plan, according to instructions & Procedures in close collaboration with CIM PMs, CIM Finance & Operations
- Coordinate CIM Cost Handshake process, ensure standardization deployment, and coordination between CIM PM, Lean, and Regions
- Follow Up on CIM Execution and ensure Performance Deviations are mitigated
- Assess training needs & reduce operational costs
- Facilitate share of global best practices
To succeed in this position, we expect that you have:
- Academic degree Bachelor level or higher
- Minimum 5 years of experience in change- and upgrade management in a global organization
- Managerial experience in long-distance leadership
Skills
On a personal level, it is very important that you possess influence and persuasiveness and have significant technical and interpersonal skills. You have experience with change management and implementation in a global environment. You must also have experience promoting global improvements and standardization based on best practices. Moreover, we expect the following competencies:
- Superior implementation and facilitation skills
- Ability to create impact & connect with the service regions
- Technical skills (understanding of the components and products being upgraded)
- Superior written/verbal presentation and communication skills in English, plus the main language in the country/region you work within
